A layer 1 blockchain named Aptos, created by Facebook employees, sets a new record in the history of blockchain transactions.

Aptos injected 115.4 million into Solana in just a single day on May 25.This far surpassed Solana’s 31.7 million transactions on the same day, according to Aptoscan.

The increase in transaction volume not only broke previous records but also left Sui Network’s L1 record of over 65 million behind by a remarkable lead of over 50%.

The increasing growth of Aptos in terms of transactions showed that people are using this platform. It also reflects the increasing momentum of the whole industry.

Transaction per second on this blockchain set a new record of 32,000 users in a single day, according to the data provided by Aptos. A major rise is recorded in the blockchain system, reflecting the blockchain’s ability to handle massive transactions efficiently.

The recent launch of Tapos Cat, based on tap-to-earn games, is becoming popular among users. Some people think that it’s launch has had a great impact on the increasing transaction on Aptos.

Tapos Cat processed 10 million transactions on the mainnet, on its first day of launch, which boosted the activity of the platform.

The CEO of Helius Labs, criticized and raised a question about the future of Tapos Cat. They said that the game is just about click-and-buy actions, which is good for numbers, but it is not providing what players actually need.

However, supporters of Aptos believe that Tapos Cat is an important project. They say it proves how well the Aptos network can handle lots of activity and sets the stage for more advancements in the future.

Aptos labs underwent an agreement with Atomeigs lab and announced their plan to launch T wallet, a partnership with South Korean telecommunications operator SK Telecom (SKT).  

Solana: Leading the Pack in Blockchain Speed

Solana blockchain has proven itself to be one of the fastest blockchain, processing 91 million transactions in 24 hours.

On April 16, during a memecoin frenzy, Solana broke all previous records by processing 1,504 transactions per second (TPS). 

This excellent performance made the Solana blockchain 46 times faster than Ethereum and 5 times faster than Polygon. Polygon provides the fastest TPS scaling in the Ethereum network.

Although Solana proves itself to be the fastest blockchain, it still only achieves 1.6% of its theoretical maximum speed of 65,000 TPS.
