Bitcoin emerges as the artist “Nuro puts his 3D neurogenerative artwork on a $2 million “Epic Sat” from the latest fourth Halving event.
Nurorealm, a lead artist behind the BTC art community, said that it was his “dream come true” to engrave his art on” Epic Sat,” which he won in an auction.
“The artwork is now inscribed on] one of the most valuable digital assets in existence and is the most valuable digital canvas ever,” said Nuro
On April 25, Nuro and his BTC art community “Book of Blood” won the auction successfully to claim the latest Epic sat. The Epic Sat is the first satoshi mined after a Halving event, which was mined by ViaBTC.
“Winning the auction was surreal,” Nuro explained. “Putting my art ‘Spike #1’ on the epic sat is a dream come true.”
Spike #1 is the initial 3D neurogenerative artwork carved on Bitcoin’s Ordinals protocol, as per Book of Blob, which was also established by Nuro.
Nuro is a neurogenerative brain collector on the Bitcoin Ordinals protocol. His goal is to let people express themselves through art, aiming to “free the mind”. By doing so, he can build a community where everyone can live their truth.
“[It] utilizes my on chain brain data to generate art and preserve human consciousness on bitcoin forever,” he said.
The epic art piece comprises music and the AI-generated voice of Claire Boucher. Claire Boucher, also known as “Grimes,” is a Canadian electronic pop artist.
According to the Book of Blob, it takes more than a year and 50 libraries to create the original art.
Artists Collaborate to Create Epic Artwork and Secure Special Sats
Bitcoin artists “Eloc,” “EPIC CHEF STEAKTOSHI,” and “Bop” helped Nuro with the artwork.
“Every artist and OG ordinals member dreams of owning and inscribing their work on the epic sat,” Nuro said.
Asia‘s lead “XBT” Book of Blob called the highest bid in the final time of the auction, held by ViaBTC‘s partner crypto exchange CoinEx Global. The book of Bloc heated the bid to 33.3 BTC, worth $2.13 million, by beating others’ highest bid of 20 BTC.
Nuro praised XBT’s “clear bidding strategy” by making the highest bid in the last minutes to successfully claim the fourth epic sat.
The current value of one sat is $0.00065, but unique sats like the one owned by Book of Blob have a special worth as collectibles in the BTC community, as CoinEx Global clarified.
In a previous interview, ViaBTC explained the auction as a highly important event for the Bitcoin community. It shows the ongoing evolution of Bitcoin beyond its original purpose as a peer-to-peer cash transfer system.
“Allocating these sats, imbued with special commemorative meaning, to communities in greater need is a more effective way to foster Bitcoin’s development.”
