Bitcoin mining becomes better with this chip that helps computers use less energy, is better for the environment, costs less, and mines faster.
Bitdeer Technologies, a BTC mining company, for the new SEALMINER machine, has introduced the SEAL04 chip in its plan for the new SEALMINER machine.
SEAL04 chip is likely to come in the second quarter of 2025 and aims to have energy efficiency as low as 5 joules per terahash.
According to the news release, the aim is to make mining more open to the public. This means that the miner will know about the advancement in technology and the anticipated delivery date of the equipment. Analyzing data on machine capabilities, inventory, and purchasing details is also part of it.
Leading the way in energy-efficient Bitcoin mining
Bitdeer mentioned that fourth-generation SEALMINER devices will make use of a SEAL04 chip. These devices will be produced in large quantities, and their delivery will start in the last quarter of 2025.
These machines will be very beneficial because they will use less power, around 5.5–6 joules terahash, which is less than the usual 29 joules per terahash.
Mining companies focused on using less power, as Bitcoin mining used a lot of energy. Many miners moved to North America after the prohibition in Kazakhstan. In North America, electricity comes from cleaner sources, or they make a setup where machines use sustainable energy or are not connected to main grid power.
The introduction of a less energy-consuming chip is a big achievement in the crypto-mining world.
This chip, with less use of power, makes BTC mining better. Due to this, miners have to spend less money on running the equipment, which is good for the environment too.
Advances in previous chips
Bitdeer reported in March that they had tested SEAL01, a tiny chip designed to mine Bitcoin. For every unit of work, it consumed 18.1 joules of power. they gave it a try in their Sealminer A1 mining equipment.
A unique process of creating small components served in the creation of the first SEAL01 chip. According to the company, this chip could do a great deal with 18.1 joules of power.
In the world of Bitcoin mining, chips are crucial. They perform all the intricate calculations required to ensure that transactions on the blockchain are legitimate and safe, acting as the operation’s brains.
A week later, on May 31st, it came to light that Tether had reached a private agreement to buy Bitdeer shares for up to $150 million.
According to Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino, Bitdeer is among the top Bitcoin mining forms since they have become adept at utilizing cutting-edge technology and conducting research to enhance their business process.
Bitdeer Technologies organization and Druk Holding and Investments (DHI), Bhutan’s investment organization, teamed up in May 2023 to establish carbon-free and ecologically sustainable digital asset mining activities in Bhutan.
After contacting Bitdeer for further information about the SEAL04 chip, Cointelegraph has not received a response.
