The latest significant ETH transfer by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.Despite the market volatility, a significant Whale movement is recorded in Ethereum Coin, transferring over 800 Ethereum during some past days.

The recent Whale activity recorded in the Ethereum funds movement is project’s co-founder Vitalik Buterin, stating it has a huge potential in the long term.

Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum and an admirer of things cryptographic has initiated a large ETH exchange that has captured the attention of the community. The transaction, coming from one of Buterin’s infamous wallets, raised questions about the purpose of the transaction and the effect the same would have on the prices of Ethereum.

The on-chain data platform Lookonchain discovered that Buterin sent more than 800 ETH. At the current price, the cost of the asset transferred is estimated over 2.01 million.

    vitalik.eth(@VitalikButerin) transferred 800 $ETH($2.01M) to a multisig wallet again 40 minutes ago.

The multisig wallet swapped 190 $ETH for 477K $USDC later.

    On Aug 9, #Vitalik also transferred 3,000 $ETH($8.04M) to this multisig wallet.https://t.co/81Vf39bvbL pic.twitter.com/6IlwtcqvPg

This large amount was transferred to this multi-sig wallet address less than 3 hours before now. Soon after that, the wallet exchanged approximately 190 ETH or roughly $477,000 worth of ETH for the USDC stablecoin.

On-chain data from an ETH tracking tool shows that this is the second time in August that Vitalik Buterin made a large ETH transfer. On August 9, he completed more than 3 thousand ETH transfers, which cost approximately 8.04 million dollars, at the time, to the same wallet address, subject to certain conditions, according to the website.

These actions from Buterin, and other well-known personalities in the crypto-sphere, tend to draw a lot of focus, particularly with the recent changes to Ethereum’s price. Some individuals are now seeking to know whether this transfer is somehow strategic or an indication of other general trends that are facing ETH.

Market Turbulence Triggers Major Moves by ETH Whales

Crypto traders are drawn to Vitalik Buterin’s recent transaction after several other huge transactions by other whales were witnessed.

Before Buterin’s decision, the on-chain analytics platform Lookonchain claimed that a large holder, namely 0xbecd…D3Ad3, made a transaction of 6,900 ETH for $17. 87 million to Binance, which could be described as the world’s largest cryptocurrency trading platform.

Further, the tracker also showed that this whale has continuously been selling ETH since the start of 2021, with 65k+ ETH between 1/28/2021 and 5/28/2021 at 3k each. Later on, the whale began selling and disposing of approximately 21,865 ETH that were worth $67. 24 million of its people at an average price tag of $3,075 per capita.

These large transactions are on the increase as Ethereum’s price continues to sink. As per the data of CoinMarketCap, ETH currently is at $2,533.18, which is down by approximately 9.02% from the previous week because of lesser investors’ appeal.
