According to the Glassnode statistics, the German government held 49,858 BTC on January 16. Which currently stands at 43,859 BTC, down from 49,858 BTC after the transfer they made a few days ago where they sold 5,999 BTC.

All these actions suggest that Germany remains an active participant in the digital asset space, possibly to control the extent of its exposure or shape the environment in which these assets operate.
