Google Cloud’s Web3 Portal launched recently with testnet tools. It has testnet tools, blockchain data, and stuff to help developers learn. People in the crypto world have different opinions about it.
A new Web3 page from Google Cloud contains resources for blockchain developers, such as tutorials and datasets for making non-fungible tokens (NFT). But there has been a mixed response in the bitcoin sector.
On April 25, Phil Geiger, the product marketing vice president at Unchained, made a statement in a post:
“No native Bitcoin and lightning support? It seemss like an oversight to ignore the most important cryptocurrency,”
On April 26, MartyParty, a cryptocurrency dealer going by a fake identity, posted something to his 80,700 followers:
“Not impressed Google is way behind,”
A few folks thought the launch was good. In a post on April 25, Ivaibi Festo, the creator of Mitroplus Labs, described the Web3 portal as a “comprehensive resource.”
The website says that the developers can get test tokens and use various items. They can use these tokens to test their apps on the Ethereum testnets for Sepolia and Holesky.
The course is also available on the website. It includes tutorials on creating Web3 loyalty programs, securing digital assets with multi-party computation, and creating NFTs (MPCs).
This follows some recent changes Google made for the Web3 world.
Google Cloud’s Web3 Integration: Empowering Insights and Advancements
Google has updated its features; now, users on many blockchains, including Bitcoin, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Optismism, Polygon, and Fantom, can see how much money is in their wallets.
Early in 2024, Google modifies its policies. These days, they permit advertisements for cryptocurrency on major search engines. Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are an example of this.
Google seemed active in forming alliances last year. This year, they were preparing for the portal’s launch.
MultiverseX and Google Cloud’s BigQuery data warehouse merged in October 2023. This will enable users and Web3 projects to use Google Cloud’s AI and data analytics technologies to gain insightful information.
Google’s BigQuery integrated 11 blockchain networks into its data warehouse in September 2023.
Avalanche, Arbitrum, Cronos, Fantom, Near, Optimism, Polkadot, Polygon’s mainnet, Polygon’s Mumbai testnet, Tron, and Ethereum’s Gorli testnet were among the added networks.
